Namaaz Timer software recites
Adhans at the correct times, has Quran recitation before Namaaz, and now
also includes Dua-e-Iftitah, Dua-e-Kumayl and Ziyarat-e-Waretha. It has
several different reciters with beautiful and captivating recitations
that will bring a fresh breath of life.
Namaaz Timer is available in 2
versions: NamaazTimer Full Version
7.5 and the NamaazTimer 6.02 Lite version. The main difference between the NamaazTimer Full Version and the Lite Version is that the Full Version
has a choice of 30 Surahs (some of them quite long) while the Lite version has fewer than 10 Surahs, most of them being short Surahs.
Therefore, the Lite version is 8MB download and the Full Version is
about 200MB
download. The Full version is recommended if you have a high speed
Internet connection while the Lite version is recommended if you have a
dial-up connection.

1. You have a choice of
listening to nine different Muaddhins. Each of
them has a pleasant voice and has appeared on the radio and TV programs in Iran.
2. You can set different
Muaddhins for Fajr, Zuhr and Maghrib prayers.
3. You have a choice of
listening to a Surah from the Holy Qur'aan just before Adhaan is recited. There
is a choice of more than 20 Surahs. It can be set to
begin between 5 to 40 minutes before the Adhaan. (Please note: Some
Surahs are short therefore if you were to choose a
short Surah to begin, say 10 minutes before Maghrib Adhaan, then after the
recitation of the Surah, and before the Adhaan, there would be no recitation for
a few minutes.)
4. Quranic Verses changing daily
5. Dua-e-Iftitah, Dua-e-Kumayl, Ziyarat-e-Waretha,
Dua-e-Tawbah, Dua-e-Samaat, Dua-e-Jawshan Al Kabeer as well as Duas of Daily
Prayers.

Those wishing to have their cities included in the
next edition are requested to send an electronic version of Namaaz timings to
Br. Zulfikar Kassam at email address at the bottom of the page. The Namaaz Timetables have to be approved by the
Resident Aalim (Religious Learned Scholar) of the city who is approved by the "The
World Federation of the KSI Muslim Communities" or equivalent.
The Program has the
ability to automatically adjust Namaaz timings in Spring
and Fall when clocks go forward and back by one hour.
Ability to track
Islamic Dates. The dates are configurable based on moon sightings.
Ability to schedule
different Surahs on different days of the week.

NamaazTimer Full Version
7.5 and the NamaazTimer 6.02 Lite version is now available only through http site. The link to the
download is

The
Lite version is about 8MB is size and is ideal for
those who have dial-up connections. The Full version is 2000MB in size and is
ideal for those who have a High Speed Internet connection. The difference
between them is that the full version has more than 20 Surahs while the
Lite
version has less than 10 Surahs. In addition, the
full version has the ability to schedule different Surahs for different days of
the week. Otherwise the
functionality is the same. Also, the full version supports more cities.

to download the zipped files required for the full version:
Then click on the
Save
button when prompted.
Save the file anywhere in
your C: drive. The download process will begin. It may take about 30 minutes (or less
or more depending on your high speed connection). Please note that this
full version is not recommended for those who have dial-up connections.
It is RECOMMENDED ONLY for those who have Cable/ADSL/T1 or faster connections as it will
take hours to download and may timeout in the process.
Unzip all the files into a folder, e.g., c:\temp\NamaazTimerFull75.
Once the files are unzipped, you are ready to start the installation process by running
setup from
c:\temp\NamaazTimerFull75 folder. This will begin the installation
process for Namaaz Timer program.
After the NamaazTimer is installed, start the program from Start | Programs | Namaaz Timer | Namaaz Timer.
You can copy the shortcut to the Startup
folder if you want NamaazTimer to start automatically after you restart your computer and log in.
Please note that
NamaazTimer has to be running for it to work, i.e.,
the NamaazTimer has to be active (you should see the
NamaazTimer on your taskbar). It can be minimized.

After the file downloads
successfully, double click on it. It will ask you where to extract the files.
You can extract the files in any folder, preferably one called NamaazTimerLite.
Please make sure you extract the files before starting the install,
otherwise you may get an error about "SETUP.LST file could not be
opened". In some cases, you may have to right click the file and choose
extract.
Once the files are
extracted in this location, go to this location and run setup to install the Namaaz Timer program.
Start the program from Start | Programs | Namaaz Timer | Namaaz Timer.
